APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Ingenu has launched The Machine Network ™, the first nationwide wireless network dedicated to machine-to-machine communication. We invented RPMA, a unique wireless technology that allows us to have deep coverage, huge capacity, and enables up to 20 year battery life. Ingenu is looking for an Applications Engineer to help customers adopt our technology, and design it into their products. The Applications Engineer will also create reference designs for completely new products that are enabled by RPMA. Duties:
  • Support a number of customers simultaneously, as they develop products using RPMA. Support includes hardware/software design/review, design for manufacturing, head end UI/software.
  • Develop sample reference applications, hardware and software, to make it easier for customers to get started with RPMA.

Skills Desired:

PLATFORM QA ENGINEER

Ingenu’s IoT platform is a highly scalable & available system performing critical business functions for Ingenu’s customers.  The Platform QA Engineer will be a key individual in the Platform Engineering team responsible for developing, verifying and characterizing the capabilities, capacity and availability of the platform.  The platform provides services such as Messaging, Data Store, Caching, Monitoring, Alerting, Analytics etc.

The Platform QA engineer will support PoC activities, validate and automate validation of the platform deployment and its services. QUALITY MANAGER

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers’ technical staff during product integration and development phases.
  • Work with Ingenu’s Sales team on pre-sale customer engagements.
  • Work with Ingenu’s Engineering team to identify and resolve product issues.
  • This role requires schedule flexibility for supporting overseas customer.
  • Up to 25% International travel may be required.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in an engineering field or equivalent working experience.
  • 3-5 years experience working on embedded system and software development, particularly for wireless applications.
  • Proficiency in embedded software development with C/C++.
  • Familiarity with wired serial protocols such as RS232, RS485, I2C, and SPI.
  • Experience with wireless protocols including implementing reliable protocols over unreliable links.
  • Working knowledge of PKI and common cryptographic tools and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer networking, configuration and trouble shooting.
  • Strong software, hardware, and system trouble shooting and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages (Mandarin, Korean, Arabic, etc) is highly desirable.
  • Python, Bash or other scripting language in a commercial environment is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on practical Linux or Unix programming and/or system administration.
  • Familiarity with common web service protocols such as REST or AMQP is preferred.
  • Database knowledge is helpful (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra).
  • Ability to read circuit board schematics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of radio propagation characteristics.
  • Experience with performing RF site surveys and/or network planning to model and predict wireless coverage.
