Private Networks. For Years.

Ingenu has been building private networks since 2008. We have built and support private networks for 38 companies and counting. We have private networks for utilities, municipalities, energy companies, agriculture applications and other industrial markets. RPMA technology provides incredible full-featured value for connecting your devices.

Solving Problems. Longer.

We are able to provide the longest network guarantees for M2M/IoT connectivity on the planet. RPMA does not rely on licensed spectrum and thus does not have the same constraints of technologies like cellular. As the owner of RPMA technology, Ingenu is not bound by the same factors that restrict network resellers (including cellular carriers). Additionally, our technology allows for extremely long battery life. Extended battery life allows zero maintenance for up to 20 years. With just one AA battery, devices are able to remain active for more than 10 years. Mesh technologies cannot support extended battery life. RPMA provides private networks with increased solution longevity.

More Coverage. Less Infrastructure.

Consumers and businesses don’t want to tinker with their wireless network, they just want it to work. The Machine NetworkTM is professionally managed which means Ingenu does all the hard work so you don’t have to.

RPMA technology provides industry leading coverage per access point. One of our access points can provide 70 square miles in urban environments. In fact, WellAware’s private network (which converted to our public Machine Network™) has an average of 450 square miles coverage per access point. This is real-world coverage serving real business needs. While we offer wider coverage, we also offer deeper coverage. Another utility customer has underground fault circuit indicators, no other LPWA wireless provider can offer that kind of connectivity. Our flexible and powerful access points easily met their deep coverage needs. Other technologies like mesh are cannot solve the hard-to-reach meter problem that we solved years ago. We can economically cover areas that simply do not make economical sense for other wireless solutions.

Flexible. Opt-in Deployments.

Consumers and businesses don’t want to tinker with their wireless network, they just want it to work. The Machine NetworkTM is professionally managed which means Ingenu does all the hard work so you don’t have to.

Our networks provide the capacity to deploy multiple applications and extensibility as you need it because of our network’s star topology. Not only do we offer immense capacity, but RPMA is designed to scale. Capacity and scalability are key for the growth and extensibility of private networks. This is the path that Aruba’s N.V. Elmar took, started with AMI solutions, then added power distribution line monitors, and then streetlights. They’ve been able to expand their network flexibly adding more access points as needed as well as adding more applications to take advantage of the immense capacity of their network. With mesh, you have to stand up the whole solution before you can even begin to think about using it.

Good Through the Bursts. To the Last Gasp.

Our private network customers love our reliable delivery and message acknowledgment. Some customers use our technology to understand how performance propagates throughout their utility networks helping them make the best use of their services. Using their private RPMA powered network, they can troubleshoot their service offerings using our last-gasp capabilities. Mesh notoriously falls down with flood-events like outages. In the 2011 Southern California outage, our customer’s fault circuit indicators operated throughout the entire outage, while their mesh counterparts were out a full 72 hours before coming back up. RPMA® is good through the bursts, and to the last gasp.

If you absolutely must have control over all the infrastructure, maintenance, and operations of your connectivity, then a private network is for you. Otherwise, check out our public network offerings.
