New executive business development team to work in partnership with global operators to extend network deployments and transition US network and manufacturing

SAN DIEGO – March 14, 2018 – Ingenu Inc.™, the company that delivers purpose-built IoT connectivity, today announced it is refining its corporate strategy to focus exclusively on its core technology and to deliver its RPMA® (Random Phase Multiple Access) technology solution via Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Ingenu will transition the management of its RPMA network in the US to be operated by technology licensees and/or network operators. Additionally, Ingenu will transition the manufacturing of its RPMA access points to third-party foreign and domestic manufacturing companies in order to lower costs and streamline operations. This shift in strategic direction will enable the company to further expand the capabilities of its RPMA M2M (machine-to-machine) communication technology, as well as support its PaaS model to deliver IoT (Internet of Things) hardware and software tools to end users.

In accordance with the company’s updated business initiatives, Ingenu has augmented its business development team, appointing Alvaro Gazzolo as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. Gazzolo will be responsible for growing revenue from operator and licensee agreements as well as developing new alliances with providers of RPMA technology. He has nearly three decades of international sales and business development experience, growing and leading successful technology companies in satellite communications and software as well as pay television platforms including: DTH, CATV, IPTV and OTT. He also has extensive experience with early-stage companies, including international start-up company PanAmSat, where he grew revenue from $2 million to over $350 million before its successful acquisition by Hughes Electronics for $3 billion in 1995. See Alvaro Gazzolo’s LinkedIn profile.

“Ingenu is well positioned as an industry leader in IoT connectivity, as demonstrated by the adoption of RPMA technology by operators and ecosystem partners across the globe,” said Babak Razi, Chief Executive Officer, Ingenu. “As we continue to focus on our core competencies, individuals with disruptive technology experience, such as Mr. Gazzolo, will help to further extend the reach of Ingenu’s RPMA across the IoT market.”

Currently, Ingenu supports network deployments with technology licensees in over 30 countries around the world. Its ecosystem of RPMA technology partners provides solutions for an array of IoT applications including: utilities, oil and gas, smart city, smart agriculture, asset tracking, environmental monitoring and others.
